Sembalun is a sub-district in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Sembalun Sub-district has an area of ​​217.08 km2. Sembalun Village – a beautiful village of six villages in Sembalun Sub-district, in 2016 won the title of World’s Best Halal Honeymoon Destination. Sembalun is one of the two key gateway villages to an arduous trek up Mount Rinjani, Lombok. There is a lot more to this area than that though, and those visitors less inclined towards serious trekking should not be discouraged from visiting here.
