Bena

Bena Village is one of the megalithic villages located in Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The village is located on a hilltop with a view of Mount Inerie. Its existence under the mountain is a characteristic of the old community who worshiped mountains as a place for the gods, and they believe in the existence of Yeta, a god who sits on this mountain who protects their village. This village currently consists of approximately 40 houses that surround each other. In the middle of the village or field there are several buildings that they call bhaga and ngadhu. The bhaga building is shaped like a small hut (unoccupied). While ngadhu is a single-pillar building and a roof of thatched fiber so that its shape resembles a shelter hut. The ngadhu pole is usually made of a special and hard type of wood because it also functions as a hanging pole for sacrificial animals during traditional parties
