the Karangsambung – Karangbolong Geopark in Central Java province of Indonesia, established in 2018, covered an area of 543,599 Km2. This area covers the North, Central and Karst areas in the South with varying morphologies ranging from hills, valleys, plains to beaches. In 2023 the name changes to Geopark Kebumen. This change coincides with the expansion of the geopark area with a land area of 1,138.70 square kilometers and sea area of 21.98 square kilometers. Within the geopark, there are 22 sub-districts with 374 villages
